Abstract(s)
In Europe, mental disorders affects one in four people, at some point in their lives. Adolescence brings a whole new set of challenges and the issue of what is normal and what is pathological is particularly relevant at this stage of life since teenagers may exhibit adaptive behaviour in a given period of time and dysfunctional behaviour at another. This study is part of the MIPA-Mobile project, which aims to test a model for monitoring the process of clinical psychological intervention with adolescents using mobile applications, integrating information from multiple sources. The last decades have been marked by changes in psychopathological assessment in adolescents. Given the considerable impact that psychopathology has in adolescents, this exploratory study aims to understand and assess quantitatively, in the scope of the regular monitoring of the therapeutic process with teenagers, the connections between psychopathological symptoms and the perception of well-being and life satisfaction. In general, we were able to determine, in several instances, an increase in the perception of well-being and life satisfaction in connection with attention problems, and a decrease of this perception associated with internalizing problems.
