O presente relatório tem como objetivo fundamental analisar as estratégias de cobertura
noticiosa da rádio TSF em três acontecimentos distintos: um acontecimento previsível que
se identifica pelas eleições autárquicas de outubro de 2017; um acontecimento imprevisível
identificado na tragédia dos incêndios de Outubro do ano passado; e um acontecimento
Vulcânico, ou seja, um acontecimento que têm um cariz tanto de imprevisível como de
previsível, assinalado no momento pré- referendo Catalão em 2017. É pelo enquadramento
teorético de cada um destes acontecimentos que surgiu a necessidade de analisar o
comportamento da rádio através de dados de backoffice e de entrevistas a jornalistas.
A “Telefonia Sem Fios” - nome pelo qual se designava a rádio - dá os primeiros passos no
século XIX; no entanto, é a percorrer todas as décadas até aos dias de hoje que este meio
de comunicação se implanta na sociedade atravessando a era da televisão e o boom
tecnológico. É nos anos 80 do século XX que a TSF – Rádio Notícias emite pela primeira
vez. Atualmente constitui-se como uma das rádios de referência no panorama nacional.
Entre acontecimentos tão distintos importa entender a forma de abordagem da rádio, desde
logo, através da cobertura feita a cada um, as suas especificidades e o papel do website
enquanto percursor na divulgação da informação. A partir do estudo das variáveis
propostas, as respostas apontam para uma rádio cuidadosa na sua forma de fazer notícias,
rigorosa e imparcial.
The purpose of this report is to analyze radio TSF behavior in three different events: a predictable event that is identified by the municipal elections of October 2017; an unpredictable event identified in the tragedy of the fires of October last year; and a Volcanic event, that is, an event that has both unforeseeable and predictable events, which was marked at the pre-referendum Catalan in 2017. It is through the theoretical framework of each of these events that the need to analyze the behavior of the radio through backoffice data and interviews with journalists. The "Wireless Telephony" - the name by which the radio was designated - takes its first steps in the 19th century, however, it took all the decades to the present day grow and implanted in society through the era of television and the technological boom. It is in the 80's of the 20th century that TSF - Rádio Notícias went on air for the first time. Currently it is one of the reference radios in the national panorama. In the search for news media that are rigorous news, it is easy to come across the TSF. Among such different events, it is important to understand the way radio is approached, firstly through the coverage given to each one, its specificities and the role of the website as a precursor in the dissemination of information. From the study of the proposed variables, the answers point to a careful radio in the way of making news, rigorous and impartial.
