| dc.description.abstract | Um olhar reflexivo sobre o nosso percurso de vida põe em evidência um percurso de professora em que se entranham funções de gestão, de entre as quais sobressaem tarefas no âmbito da ação social escolar. A ação social escolar é um dispositivo importante na democratização do ensino, mas, por si só, não garante a democraticidade do serviço público de educação. Esta temática é ainda mais pertinente num período de grave crise financeira económica e social, com reflexos profundos no quotidiano e no futuro da Escola, nos diversos “players” da comunidade educativa e na vida das futuras gerações. O Relatório Reflexivo está estruturado em três partes: na primeira parte apresentamos o nosso percurso profissional na docência e realçamos o desempenho de diversos cargos de gestão, ao longo de mais de três décadas; na segunda parte revemos marcos importantes da história da escola Pública em Portugal, a sua missão social e cultural, as principais reformas, e a sua importância na vida dos cidadãos e na sociedade, com um enfoque especial na face social da educação escolar; por fim, na terceira parte sublinhamos alguns dos contributos da escola pública no apoio social aos alunos, garantindo os meios indispensáveis à aprendizagem, como a saúde e higiene escolar, os apoios económicos e didáticos, minimizando as carências socioeducativas dos alunos, promovendo a equidade no acesso universal ao serviço público de educação, assegurando a democratização do ensino. Na conclusão do Relatório Reflexivo apresentamos as dificuldades e limitações do trabalho, bem como as aprendizagens que o mesmo nos proporcionou. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | A retrospective look at our life path puts in evidence teacher and manager functions, where school social aids are the connecting point of both. Although it is an essential aspect of learning democratization, it cannot warrant public school learning system’s democracy. The pertinence of this essay comes from the current period of profound financial and economics crisis, having deep implications in the daily functioning of schools and menacing the future of the educational system as a whole and therefore the prospects of new generations to come. This report is divided in the three following parts. Firstly, there will be a biographical report on the professional path undergone, with referrals to the performance in teaching as well as management posts occupied throughout almost three decades. Afterwards, the global framework of Portugal’s Public School will be detailed in terms of its cultural and social mission, major reforms and importance in the life of citizens and society as a whole, with a special focus on the social aspect of school education. In the third part, the focus is on public school’s contributions to the social support of its students, as to guarantee the indispensable means to the learning process, such as school health and hygiene, didactical and economic supports, as to minimize social and educational deficiencies, promoting that way equity in the universal access to the public system of education, ensuring learning democratization. The end result exposes the many obstacles and limitations faced, albeit having been an opportunity to learn more and gather information regarding this theme, with the notion that much has to be done in the future and only through the scientific investment in this area will we be able to face Education’s future challenges. | por |
