A elaboração deste relatório pretende retratar o percurso realizado, através da análise
crítica e reflexiva da prática, descrevendo as atividades realizadas com base nos
conhecimentos teóricos e técnicos, apoiados nos valores deontológicos e éticos para a
aquisição de competências de enfermeira especialista.
O presente relatório emerge de um processo de aprendizagem decorrente do Estágio do
Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, que foi desenvolvido em três
módulos: Módulo I – Serviço de Urgência, Módulo II – Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos e
o Módulo III – Grupo de Coordenação Local do Programa de Prevenção e Controlo de
Infeção e Resistência aos Antimicrobianos.
O objetivo da realização deste estágio é o desenvolvimento de competências de Enfermeira
Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, aplicando conhecimentos e capacidade de
compreensão e de resolução de problemas em determinadas situações novas, em contextos
alargados e multidisciplinares, relacionados com a área de Especialização.
No decorrer do estágio, prestaram-se cuidados especializados ao doente e família de
médio/alto risco, promoveu-se a formação em serviço, favorecendo o crescimento pessoal
e profissional de outros enfermeiros. Privilegiando a área da investigação, foi efetuada uma
revisão integrativa da literatura dando resposta às intervenções de enfermagem que maior
eficácia demonstram na prevenção da Pneumonia Associada ao Ventilador. Com o
resultado desta pesquisa foi elaborada uma formação, para apresentação dos resultados,
criando momentos de reflexão entre a equipa de Enfermagem, tendo em vista a melhoria
da qualidade de cuidados de enfermagem.
A temática da prevenção da Pneumonia Associada ao Ventilador foi abordada em todos os
módulos de estágio. Este tema, enquadrado na área de controlo de infeção, foi o fio
condutor por ser transversal a todos os contextos do estágio.
The preparation of this report seeks to portray the accomplished route, through critical and reflective analysis of the practice, describing the activities carried out on the basis of theoretical and technical knowledge, supported in ethics and ethical values to acquire specialist nurse competences. This report is the result of a learning process in a training program, were aimed at developing competences as Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing, who was developed in three modules: Module I – Emergency Service, Module II – Intensive/Intermediate Care Unit and Module III – Local Coordination Group of Prevention and Infection Control and Antimicrobial Resistance. The accomplishment of this stage was aimed at the development of Specialist Nurse competences in Medical-Surgical Nursing, applying knowledge and ability to understand and solve problems in certain new situations in wide multidisciplinary situations, related to the specialization area. During the clinical training, specialized care to the patient and family of medium/high risk was given and training in service was promoted, enhancing personal and professional growth of other nurses. Privileging the area of research, was performed an integrative literature review in response to nursing interventions that more effectively in preventing Associated Pneumonia. With the result of this research a formation was elaborated, for presentation of the results, creating moments of reflection between the Nurse team, to improve the quality of nursing care. The theme of the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia was discussed in all training modules. This theme, framed in the infection control area, was the common thread to be across all stage settings.
