O presente relatório de estágio visa conhecer as características da crítica de videojogos em
Portugal, ou seja, quais os elementos, temas e especificidades que compõem este género
jornalístico aplicado aos videojogos.
Esta investigação surgiu a partir do estágio realizado na Adagietto, onde durante o período
inerente ao mesmo houve um contacto diário com os principais meios de comunicação
portugueses através da marca PlayStation, uma das principais marcas da indústria dos
videojogos.
A partir da revisão da literatura, procurou-se perceber primeiramente quais as características
e conceitos de cultura e jornalismo cultural, focando o género jornalístico da crítica cultural.
De seguida investigou-se sobre jornalismo de videojogos, com especial destaque para o
género jornalístico da crítica e para o contexto português. Finalmente, investigou-se os
videojogos como um fenómeno sociocultural, bem como alguns detalhes sobre a sua
indústria e mercado.
A parte do trabalho empírico consistiu na aplicação da metodologia do estudo de caso através
da análise de conteúdo, tendo como base uma amostra de peças selecionadas que
representam o universo em estudo. Foram criadas grelhas de análise de categorias de forma
a inferir conclusões relativas às mesmas
The following investigation was developed with the aim of studying the characteristics of the videogames critique in Portugal, detailing which means, what features, and themes compose this journalistic genre particularly applied to the videogames. This investigation started during an internship made in Adagietto, where a direct contact was established with the main Portuguese media outlets through the PlayStation brand, one of the main brands in the videogames industry. With the literature review, the objective was to first understand the elements and concepts of culture and cultural journalism, focusing on the journalist genre of the cultural critique. The investigation proceeded with the study of video games journalism, with special detail of the videogames critique in the Portuguese context. Afterwards, the videogames were investigated as a social and cultural phenomenon, as well as some details about the videogames industry and market. The empirical work consisted in the application of a case-study methodology through content analysis, working with a sample of selected articles that represented the universe in the study. The analysis tables were created to retrieve conclusions for the investigation
