Na era digital, num mundo cada vez mais marcado pela complexidade e turbulência, as cadeias de abastecimento enfrentam desafios contínuos devido à globalização e à presença de interrupções que afetam o seu desempenho. A digitalização surge como uma estratégia essencial para aumentar a resiliência dessas cadeias, contudo, é crucial um alinhamento claro de estratégias e objetivos para o seu sucesso. Apesar do crescente interesse, há uma lacuna significativa na compreensão do impacto real da digitalização na resiliência das organizações e das suas cadeias de abastecimento. Este estudo visa preencher essa lacuna, analisando o impacto da digitalização na resiliência das cadeias de abastecimento numa empresa do setor postal, logístico e de transportes. Através de uma pesquisa qualitativa exploratória, foram realizadas 10 entrevistas semiestruturadas com colaboradores da empresa CTT - Correios de Portugal, SA. Foram analisadas as ferramentas e tecnologias utilizadas no processo de digitalização, bem como os benefícios e os desafios associados. O foco recaiu sobre os seus impactos na resiliência da cadeia. Concluiu-se que a digitalização traz benefícios como a redução de custos, a melhoria da rastreabilidade e da eficiência, mas enfrenta desafios, como a resistência à mudança. Ambos impactam a resiliência da cadeia de abastecimento, influenciando a capacidade de resposta, a adaptabilidade e a transparência. Além disso, observou-se um impacto positivo da digitalização na resiliência da cadeia de abastecimento.
In the digital age, in an increasingly complex and turbulent world, supply chains face continuous challenges due to globalization and the presence of disruptions that affect their performance. Digitalization emerges as an essential strategy to enhance the resilience of these chains; however, clear alignment of strategies and objectives is crucial for its success. Despite growing interest, there is a significant gap in understanding the real impact of digitalization on the resilience of organizations and their supply chains. This study aims to fill this gap by analyzing the impact of digitalization on the resilience of supply chains in a company in the postal, logistics, and transportation sector. Through qualitative exploratory research, 10 semi-structured interviews were conducted with employees of CTT - Correios de Portugal, SA. The tools and technologies used in the digitalization process, as well as the associated benefits and challenges, were analyzed. The focus was on their impacts on chain resilience. It was concluded that digitalization brings benefits such as cost reduction, improved traceability, and efficiency, but it faces challenges such as resistance to change. Both aspects impact the resilience of the supply chain, influencing responsiveness, adaptability, and transparency. Furthermore, a positive impact of digitalization on the resilience of the supply chain was observed.
