The higher number of children and youth exposed to potentially traumatic events such as neglect and domestic violence has been increasing. In this context, the performance of CPCJ professionals based on trauma-informed care allows a better quality of care and monitoring of children and youth at risk, avoiding harmful consequences of this signalling and retraumatization. This pilot study aims to pilot the Trauma-Sensitive Care (TTC) Questionnaire for Child and Youth Protection Commissions (QACST-SPIJ(CPCJ)) considering the critical dimensions regarding the provision of TTC using closed and open questions as well as the perspective of these professionals about the completion of the QACST-SPIJ(CPCJ). This study enhances the reflection and understanding about the participants' perspectives when filling out the QACST-SPIJ (CPCJ), given that, in addition, a focus group was conducted with two experts with experience regarding the focus of the study. The conclusions of the pilot revealed higher scores in dimensions: Physical Environment and Policies and Practices and lower scores in Supervision and Training. Their testimony demonstrates the relevance of the QACST-SPIJ(CPCJ) and the CST in the organizational culture of the CPCJ. The contributions proved to be encouraging, allowing the refinement of the questionnaire through their experience and suggestions for improvements for future administration.
