O presente relatório surge decorrente do estágio ocorrido na Biblioteca Pública Municipal do Porto, inserido no 2º ano do mestrado do curso de Conservação e Restauro De Bens Culturais da Escola das Artes pertencente á Universidade Católica Portuguesa do Porto. Neste relatório estarão descritas a instituição onde decorreu o estágio, as tarefas realizadas e feita uma apreciação crítica do mesmo evidenciando os seus pontos fortes e pontos fracos, as suas vantagens e as suas desvantagens. Contém informação sobre o objeto de estudo atribuído, assim como, estão descritas as suas características, diagnóstico de conservação e as tarefas de conservação realizadas no mesmo. O objeto de estudo atribuído pertence do legado de Vitorino Ribeiro e é uma importante obra espanhola, sobre monumentos arquitetónicos espanhóis. Este património documental é encadernado sem costura e é de grandes dimensões. As folhas são de polpa mecânica sendo algumas tingidas de cor verde. Os textos e imagens são impressos com tinta carbónica e as imagens tem pigmentos de cores variadas. O volume escolhido para tratamento continha no total cinco cadernos interiores. A pesquisa de base foi efetuada maioritariamente com recurso a informações recolhidas através de instituições espanholas como o Museu Nacional Prado, a Academia Coleciones e a Real Academia Bellas Artes San Fernando. O trabalho de campo foi maioritariamente realizado na instituição acolhedora ainda que, alguns testes, tivessem sido realizados na universidade.
This report arises from the internship that took place at the Municipal Public Library of Porto, inserted in the 2nd year of the Master's course of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Assets at the school of arts belonging to the Portuguese Catholic University of Porto. This report will describe the internship institution, the tasks performed and a critical appraisal of it, highlighting its strengths and advantages, its disadvantages and weaknesses. It contains information about the assigned object of study, as well as its characteristics, conservation diagnosis and the tasks conducted for its conservation. The object of study assigned belongs to the legacy of Vitorino Ribeiro and is an important Spanish work on Spanish monuments. This documentary heritage is bound seamlessly and of large dimensions. The sheets are made of mechanical pulp, and some are dyed green. The texts and images are printed with carbonic ink and the images have pigments of different colours. The volume chosen for treatment contained a total of five inner notebooks. The research for this work was mainly carried out with Spanish institutions such as the Prado National Museum, the Academia Coleciones and the Real Academia Bellas Artes San Fernando, while the fieldwork was mostly carried out at the host institution, being performed. carried out at the university.
