Abstract(s)
A relação que existe entre a escola e a família, bem como o envolvimento dos pais/Encarregados de Educação (EE) na vida escolar, constitui a base de estruturação e construção deste relatório. Partir da experiência profissional e desta forma estudar a participação dos pais/EE e o papel do Diretor de Turma (DT) no envolvimento escolar foi uma prioridade. Uma vez que, tantas vezes referido em outros trabalhos, a relação família-escola e a participação dos pais/EE na vida da escola são uma mais-valia para o sucesso dos alunos.
Pretendeu-se de forma mais exaustiva compreender essa relação, nomeadamente, como se processa o envolvimento parental, a forma como os intervenientes (pais, diretores de turma e escola) colaboram entre si, permitindo uma reflexão crítica sobre o como e em que deve incidir a cooperação entre os atores.
A importância da interação que deverá existir entre a família e a escola; os obstáculos que impedem a participação dos pais/EE e as estratégias que podem beneficiar e fortalecer esta união, numa perspetiva de corresponsabilidade, são outro aspeto que entendemos ser da máxima importância para fomentar o sucesso escolar; perceber por que pais/EE e professores ainda não se conseguem entender e compreender o porquê da maior parte dos educadores atribuir aos pais/EE a origem dos problemas de disciplina e, tantas vezes, apontar como fatores o novo modelo familiar, no qual os adultos permanecem pouco tempo em casa, ou ainda aquele que apresenta uma organização diferente da tradicional.
Por fim, também constituiu uma finalidade deste relatório, incluir a perspetiva dos diretores de turma relativamente ao envolvimento dos pais e encarregados de educação com a escola.
The relationship between school and family as well as the involvement of parents/Guardians (EE) in school life is the basis for structuring and construction of this report. From the professional experience and thus study the participation of parents/EE and the role of Class Directors (DT) in school involvement it has been a priority. Since so often mentioned in other works, the family-school relationship and parental involvement/EE in school life are an asset to the success of students. We sought to more thoroughly understand the relationship established between the school, parents and class directors, ie, understand how they can be parental involvement, such as how stakeholders (parents, class directors and school) work together, enabling a critical reflection on how and where to focus cooperation between the actors. The importance of interaction that should exist between family and school; the obstacles to the participation of parents/EE and strategies that can benefit and strengthen this link in a perspective of responsibility, are another aspect which we believe is of utmost importance to promote success at school; look to explain of why parents/EE and teachers can not yet understand each other and comprehend why the majority of educators give to parents/EE the source of discipline problems and so often point to as factors the new family model, in which adults remain little time at home, or one that has a different organization from the traditional. Another purpose of this report, include the perspective of the class of directors with regard to the involvement of parents and guardians with the school.
