Abstract(s)
The following study aims to understand the interpsychic and intrapsychic dynamics amongst members of a choir, particularly as it relates to religiosity. By employing a scientific methodology that is both qualitative and ethnographic, the study in question gathered the necessary data via participant observation, with field notes, followed by in- -depth interviews. The sample is made up of (N=20) elements of a choir from Braga, ranging from 5 to 65 years of age (M=37.7; Dp= 19.0), 5 of whom were selected to give in-depth interviews. 33 categories, managing the encodings about individuals and the group, were found. The study reached the conclusion that the choir organizes, protects, attaches and serves as a regularizing entity to its members. The group establishes connections as a solid organism, whilst empowering its members in their daily lives.
