Hoje a família depara-se com desafios cada vez maiores devido aos avanços tecnológicos,
às novas ideologias, e a um ritmo de vida acelerado, que impõem a cada ambiente familiar a
necessidade de adquirir sabedoria e um discernimento constante. Nesse sentido, o Papa Francisco
tem dado grande contributo para a pastoral familiar. Exemplo disto é a publicação da Exortação
Apostólica Amoris Laetitia, que apresenta pistas concretas para a vivência familiar.
Também os teólogos têm refletido sobre esta temática e têm contribuído para um maior
entendimento e até um esclarecimento de temas que se tornaram controversos, mas também têm
sugerido sobre como aplicá-los à realidade. As publicações científicas nas revistas teológicas
espanholas e portuguesas oferecem um conhecimento mais profundo da realidade familiar e
também uma aplicação da Exortação Apostólica a cada contexto pastoral.
In this present dispensation, family life is been confronted with challenges due to advancement in science and technology, new ideologies, and of course the accelerated pace of life. These and many more are the challenges confronting the modern family life, and as such there is need for wisdom, discernment and knowledge in the modern day family life. In view of the foregoing, the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia of Pope Francis, becomes very imperative because it offers concrete and practical approach to family living. In the light of the aforementioned, theologians across the globe made meaningful contributions and clarifications to this controversial subject in the world of today. For further clarifications into this subject under investigation, the Portuguese Theological Journals and Spanish Scientific Publications offer us deep insight and knowledge into the reality of the modern day family. Again, the place of the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis and its application in pastoral context cannot be overemphasized as far as this investigation is concern.
