| dc.description.abstract | Os Comportamentos Aditivos e Dependências (CAD) surgem como um fenómeno complexo, multifatorial e multidimensional, podendo ser caracterizados como comportamentos impulsivo-compulsivos que se relacionam com diferentes atividades ou condutas. Podem estar relacionados com o consumo de substâncias e também com outras dependências como os jogos online. A regulação emocional, que engloba vário s processos como por exemplo a impulsividade, é um construto que desempenha um papel importantíssimo neste tipo de comportamentos. O presente estudo tem como objetivo geral avaliar a relação entre o jogo online e o consumo de substâncias, assim como entender o papel da desregulação emocional neste fenómeno. Este estudo é de carater quantitativo com participantes com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e os 40 anos de ambos os sexos. Os instrumentos utilizados foram o questionário sociodemográfico, A Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale, a European School Survey Project Alchool and Other Drugs e a Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-ShortForm. Os resultados permitiram perceber relações significativas (p < .05) entre a relação entre o jogo online e as dificuldades na regulação emocional, onde apresentam uma relação significativa positiva e também a relação entre o jogo online e a idade dos participantes e também entre o consumo de substâncias e a idade dos participantes. Estes resultados contribuíram para uma melhor compreensão deste fenómeno. Para estudos futuros, seria relevante diminuir a faixa etária dos participantes para melhor compreensão do fenómeno na população mais velha. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Addictive and Dependent Behaviors (CAD) appear as a complex, multifactorial, and multidimensional phenomenon, and can be characterized as impulsive-compulsive behaviors that are related to different activities or behaviors. They may be related to substance use and other dependent behaviors like online gaming. Emotional regulation, which encompasses several processes such as impulsiveness, is a construct that plays a very important role in this type of behavior. The present study has the general objective of evaluating the relationship between online gambling and substance consumption, as well as understanding the role of emotional regulation in this phenomenon. This study is quantitative in nature with participants aged between 18 and 40 years of both sexes. The instruments used were the sociodemographic questionnaire, A Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale, the European School Survey Project Alcohol and Other Drugs and the Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-Short-Form. The results allowed us to perceive significant relationships (p < .05) between the relationship between online gaming and difficulties in emotional regulation, where they present a significant positive relationship and the relationship between online gaming and the age of the participants and between consumption of substances and the age of the participants. These results contributed to a better understanding of this phenomenon. For future studies, it would be relevant to reduce the age range of participants to better understand the phenomenon in the older population. | pt_PT |
