Abstract(s)
Society, considered as an environment, conditions the education system. The education system expresses its society, responds to social demands, but also has the function of perpetuating the values of collectivity. The democratization of education is understood as access for all children to the educational system and the acceptance of their own diversity and identity. One of the main goals of school must be the development of their capabilities, while respecting their uniqueness, and supporting young people in a positive and diversified way according to their needs. One of the functions of school is to train individuals bearing in mind their integration into society and to make them aware, at the same time, of the standards to which the conduct of each one must comply and the immanent and transcendent value of the collectivities to which each belong. However, regarding school, teachers, families and students will have differentiated representations and understand it in a diverse manner. In this work we aim to understand what representations of school students have and how these representations influence participation in their school life. In each school there are different guidelines regarding the orientation and transmission of social values and morals. The way each one of us went through school life, the background and experience that remained in memory, is also one of the most important sources of information that each individual has about school.
