Abstract(s)
Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI Demerouti, Bakker, Vardakou & Kantas, 2003),
burnout e a idade. Verificou-se relações estatisticamente significativas relativamente ao
apoio dos supervisores/Chefia transmitido aos profissionais.
The present work of investigation as the principal objective measure levels of burnout, stress professional, at caregivers. This issue became relevant, since stress can have organizational and personal consequences, and these reveal themselves both in intellectual and social relations and in their organizational behavior. This study was conducted on a sample of 202 Portuguese individuals caregivers aged between 23 and 64 years. To the achievement of this study, we applied a sociodemographic questionnaire and - Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI Demerouti, Bakker, Vardakou & Kantas, 2003), which allowed us to assess the physical, cognitive and emotional exposure to certain professional requirements, and distancing in relation to the purpose and content of the work. The results showed that there is a negative correlation between professional education and burnout the variable (r = - .145, p = .039), as well as indicators of exhaustion and the variable level of academic Qualifications (001). In parallel, there is a negative and median relationship between age and education (r = - .532, p <.01). Regarding education, the results indicate low levels of academic degree. As higher the education level as lower the susceptibility to the development of stress. Significant correlation was found between exhaustion and workload (r =, 039). No significant association was found between burnout and age variable. There was statistically significant relationships for support from supervisors/Head transmitted professionals.
