A pastoral juvenil abre um caminho entre tantos outros caminhos que já foram trilhados. Este será certamente o interesse de ter uma visão contemporânea que nos permita perceber quem são, na verdade, os jovens de hoje. A Igreja e a sociedade são espaços dos quais a juventude se torna cada vez mais distante, muitas vezes por não terem liberdade para serem o que desejam e para sonharem com o seu futuro. A presente dissertação desenvolve, olhando para a realidade dos jovens da Diocese de Pemba, uma reflexão e alguns fundamentos para uma proposta da pastoral juvenil. Não podemos falar dos jovens sem conhecermos o contexto em que vivem, a história do país onde se encontram e os desafios que os caracterizam. Por isso, no primeiro capítulo, incide-se nos contextos sociogeográfico, histórico, cultural e religioso, fazendo uma breve descrição do modelo pastoral da Diocese de Pemba. No segundo capítulo, aborda-se a questão da pastoral juvenil, numa perspetiva geral, mas sempre tendo como centro desta pesquisa o contexto e a realidade dos jovens de Pemba. No terceiro capítulo, faz-se uma abordagem acerca dos fundamentos teológicos para uma pastoral juvenil na Diocese de Pemba, procurando perceber os problemas e as situações do tempo presente e, de certa forma, propor alguns fundamentos teológicos que podem ajudar a pensar uma pastoral juvenil mais adequada à problemática dos jovens da Diocese de Pemba.
Youth ministry opens up a path from so many other paths that have already been trodden, certainly this will be of interest as it introduces us to a contemporary vision that allows us to realise who today's young people really are. In the Church and in society, these are spaces where young people are becoming increasingly distant from being responsible, often because they don't have the freedom to be what they want and to dream of the future. Looking at the reality of young people in the Diocese of Pemba, this dissertation develops a reflection and some foundations for a proposal for youth ministry. You can't talk about young people without knowing the context in which they live, the history of the country in which they find themselves and the challenges that characterise them. For this reason, the first chapter looks at the socio-geographical, historical, cultural and religious contexts, giving a brief description of the pastoral model of the Diocese of Pemba. In the second chapter, the issue of youth ministry is addressed from a general perspective, but always in the context of the reality of young people in Pemba, as the centre of this research. In the third chapter, an approach is made to the theological foundations for youth ministry in the Diocese of Pemba, understanding the problems and situations of the present time and, in a certain way, proposing, above all, some theological foundations that can help to think of a youth ministry that is more appropriate to the problems of young people in the Diocese of Pemba.
