Abstract(s)
A evangelização é a missão essencial confiada a todos os cristãos, enviados por Deus a
anunciar a Boa Nova, enquanto mensagem de salvação para todos os homens, sobretudo para
aqueles que vivem na opressão e na marginalização. No Novo Testamento, o Evangelho é a
Boa Nova do Reino de Deus proclamada por Cristo. Aqui a essência da evangelização é o
próprio Cristo, enviado pelo Pai como libertador e salvador de toda a humanidade, sobretudo
os pobres, doentes e pecadores, aos quais leva a luz, a verdade e a vida.
A evangelização é confiada a todos os batizados com o objetivo de proclamarem a
Palavra de Deus a todos os homens, tanto cristãos como não cristãos. No século XIX, São
João Bosco, santo turinês, confiado na Palavra de Cristo, sentiu-se enviado a evangelizar os
homens, de modo especial os jovens mais pobres, através da educação.
O carisma deste santo fundador da Família Salesiana traduziu-se num compromisso
apostólico interligando a evangelização com a educação, em base a um sistema educativo por
ele designado de sistema preventivo estruturado na razão, na religião e na amabilidade. Como
síntese da sua proposta educativo-evangelizadora está o seu desejo de formar bons cristãos e
honestos cidadãos.
A evangelização salesiana tem desde então, e até aos dias de hoje, os jovens como
principais destinatários. A ação evangelizadora desenvolve-se no seio de uma comunidade
educativo-pastoral que envolve os diferentes intervenientes no processo educativoevangelizador, a saber: Salesianos consagrados, educadores, leigos, jovens e famílias.
The evangelization is the essential mission entrusted to all Christians sent by God to announce the Good News, as a message of salvation for all people, especially for those who live in oppression and marginalization. In the New Testament, the Gospel is the Good News of the Kingdom of God proclaimed by Christ. The essence of the evangelization is Christ himself, sent by His Father, as the Liberator and Savior of all mankind, especially the poor, the sick and the sinners to whom he brings the light, the truth and the life. The evangelization is entrusted to all who have been baptized with the aim of proclaiming the Word of God to all men, both Christians and non-Christians. In the 19th century, Saint John Bosco, a turinian saint, entrusted with the Word of Christ, felt that he had to evangelize men, especially the poorest young people, through education. The charism of this saintly founder of the Salesian Family became an apostolic commitment linking evangelization with education, based on an educational system that he called a preventive system structured on reason, religion and kindness. As a synthesis of his educational-evangelizing proposal is his desire to form good christians and honest citizens. The salesian evangelization has since then, and continues to this day, with young people as main concern. This evangelizing action is developed within an educative-pastoral community that involves different people in the educative-evangelizing process, namely: consecrated salesians, educators, lay people, young people and families.
