Introduction and Objectives: Research and practice of care on quality of life of people with venous leg ulcers, have highlighted the need for development and validation of tools, for an efficient and accurate assessment of quality of life and adherence to the therapy. In order to meet these needs, we performed a validation of the Venous Leg Ulcer cultural Quality of Life and the creation and validation of a multidimensional scale of adhesion to therapy in people with venous leg ulcers. Methodology: This methodological research was performed on 170 people with venous leg ulcers, residents in the district of Leiria. In the validation of the quality of life scale, we followed the same methodology the authors of the original scale, who was requested authorization. The form also includes the scale adhesion, constructed in this study, the sociodemographic and clinical description and the characterization of the ulcer. The sample was obtained by a non-probabilistic accidental sampling, after meeting the ethical and formal procedures necessary for this purpose. Results: The male predominance of 55.9% (95) was found in the sample. The Cronbach alpha coefficient observed in the three dimensions of quality of life scale (0.931, 0.927 and 0.913), and the three dimensions of scale adherence (0.821, 0.863 and 0.897), to suggest that the instruments have good consistency internal and equally good convergent and discriminant validity of the scales under study. People with venous leg ulcer on average, have good quality of life in all its dimensions. It is the dimension healthy lifestyles that have better adhesion to the therapy. Conclusion: The validated scales have good psychometric properties, allowing its use in care practice and research
