Abstract(s)
A pandemia causada pelo coronavírus, obrigou a alteração de muitas rotinas e a
mudanças rápidas no quotidiano de toda a população, mas afetando de modo mais
desafiador os pais de crianças com necessidades especiais, e as mesmas. O presente
estudo tem como objetivos avaliar o bemestar e a qualidade de vida dos pais no
momento atual, bastante marcado pelo SARSCoV2, avaliando diferenças no bemestar
e na qualidade de vida dos pais com crianças com necessidades especiais, assim como, a
perceção do impacto que a Covid19 provocou no estilo parental adotado pelos pais, o
que consequentemente pode ter impacto no bemestar e na qualidade de vida dos seus
filhos. Por isso, foi realizado um estudo quantitativo, no qual participaram 121 pais de
crianças com NE, a quem foram aplicados os seguintes instrumentos: Personal
wellbeing índex e Family Quaity of Life. Os dados foram analisados com o software
Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS), e foi avaliada a perceção do impacto
da pandemia, tanto no bemestar como na qualidade de vida dos pais, e também a
influência da existência de um apoio e suporte social e familiar positivo no bemestar e
na qualidade de vida destes pais. Este estudo permitiu verificar relações negativas
significativas entre a pandemia e o bemestar dos pais com filhos com NE, assim como,
com a sua qualidade de vida. Foi, ainda possível, verificar que a pandemia teve um
impacto negativo no estilo parental dos pais que se alterou significativamente.
The pandemic caused by the coronavirus forced the change of many routines and rapid changes in the daily lives of the entire population, but affecting the parents of children with special needs, and the same, in a more challenging way. The present study aims to evaluate the wellbeing and quality of life of parents at the current moment, which is marked by SARSCoV2, evaluating differences in the wellbeing and quality of life of parents with children with special needs, as well as the perception of the impact that Covid19 had on the parenting style adopted by parents, which consequently can have an impact on the wellbeing and quality of life of their children. Therefore, a quantitative study was carried out, in which 121 parents of children with EN participated, to which the following instruments were applied: Personal wellbeing index and Quality of family life. Data were analyzed with the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) software, and the perception of the impact of the pandemic, both on the wellbeing and quality of life of parents, as well as the influence of the existence of positive social and family support and support for the wellbeing and quality of life of these parents. This study made it possible to verify significant negative relationships between the pandemic and the wellbeing of parents with children with EN, as well as with their quality of life. It was also possible to verify that the pandemic had a negative impact on the parenting style of parents, which changed significantly.
