Abstract(s)
Partindo do conjunto de questões levantadas no decorrer da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada que desencadearam a presente indagação pedagógico-teológica – a indiferença dos alunos face ao sofrimento alheio e ao fenómeno religioso, procurou-se entender de que modo a disciplina de Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica pode contribuir para combater essa atitude. Após uma análise da evolução da liberdade religiosa ao longo dos séculos e um estudo sobre o posicionamento atual dos organismos nacionais e internacionais e da Igreja Católica, desenvolveu-se uma proposta pedagógica que consiste numa atualização do manual de 9.º ano com o intuito de levar os alunos a refletir sobre a questão da liberdade religiosa e da perseguição aos cristãos.
Starting from the set of questions raised during the sessions of Supervised Teaching Pratice, that triggered off this pedagogic-theological inquiry: the students indifference towards the suffering of others and the religious phenomenon, one tried to understand how can the Religious Education subject contribute to fight this attitude. After a careful analysis of the evolution of religious freedom throughout the centuries and a reflexion on the nowadays positioning of national and international organizations and the Catholic Church, a pedagogical proposal was developed that consists on an update of the 9th grade Students’ Book, with the intent of leading students to think about the religious freedom issue and the prosecution of Christians.
