This paper presents an exploratory study conducted with Portuguese physicians, after they have attended a Master’s degree course on Medical Education. The objective was to know the perception that they had about the time and the workload that each unity, the several learning activities and the whole course had demanded. The empiric study, based on a questionnaire designed for that research, intended to be a starting point for a wider reflection about the compatibility among continuing professional education and qualification at the postgraduate level. This reflection overflows the extent of the continuous medical education, in which context this questionnaire was initially applied. In other words, it proposes a reflection about the constraints of the continuing professional education and qualification at the postgraduate level within the context of the Bologna Process.
