Nesta investigação debruçamo-nos sobre as imagens fotográficas
enquanto representações verídicas, no contexto de uma filosofia da
depiction. Neste âmbito recorremos a uma abordagem epistémica de
base percetiva, complementada com uma abordagem fenomenológica. A
abordagem fenomenológica permite-nos compreender, quer o
mecanismo das expetativas, quer a passagem do reconhecimento para o
simbólico, na imagem fotográfica.
This research focuses on photographic images as veridical representations within the context of a philosophy of depiction. To address this question we use an epistemic-perceptive approach, complemented with a phenomenological approach. The phenomenological approach allows us to understand both the mechanism of expectations, and the transition from recognition to the symbolic, in the photographic image.
