Torah. Cristo é o propiciatório incarnado capaz de resgatar do pecado. Ele é a salvação,
apresentando-se, de modo evidente, em Lc 7,36-50, que não é o pecado que condena, mas o
amor que salva.
The Love which saves: a reading of Lk 7:36 -50 This paper analyses the concepts of sin, love and forgiveness (as key elements of human life) from the exegetical reading of Lk 7:36 -50. It is argued that Luke breaks the connection that is usually established, between sin and condemnation. Choosing to emphasise the greatness of God's Love, which saves because it is greater than sin. Jesus Christ helps us to understand that salvation implies much more than the rites of atonement of the Torah. Christ is the propitiatory incarnated, able to rescue mankind from sin. He is salvation. As illustrated in Lk 7:36 -50, it is the absence of love, not sin, which condemns. Consequently, only Love saves.
