Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o papel da relação com os pais e com os
pares no desenvolvimento positivo e bem-estar subjetivo dos adolescentes. A pertinência
do estudo aprofundado deste tema reside no facto das relações interpessoais,
nomeadamente com os pais e os pares, terem influência no desenvolvimento positivo e
no bem-estar subjetivo dos adolescentes. Numa altura determinante da formação da
identidade, escolhas pessoais e vocacionais importa explorar o bem-estar subjetivo e o
desenvolvimento positivo. A amostra foi constituída por 156 estudantes de uma escola de
ensino secundário da região norte. A recolha de dados foi realizada através de um
questionário sociodemográfico, o “Índice de Bem-Estar Pessoal”, o questionário
“Desenvolvimento Positivo dos adolescentes” e o “California Healthy Kids Survey
Resilience Assessment Module”. Os resultados demonstraram valores estatisticamente
significativos entre o sexo masculino e o feminino, no que diz respeito à satisfação com
o sentimento de segurança e na relação com os pais dos jovens adolescentes do ensino
secundário. Valores estatisticamente significativos foram encontrados na dimensão
‘Cuidado’ do DPA, relativamente ao curso. Foi possível verificar correlações positivas
entre o bem-estar pessoal e o desenvolvimento positivo dos adolescentes, assim como
uma relação entre estes e as relações com os seus pais e pares. Também quanto mais
elevado for o índice de bem-estar pessoal, maior é o seu desenvolvimento positivo. Com
estes resultados é possível perceber os fatores associados ao bem-estar e ao
desenvolvimento positivo dos adolescentes, em particular no ensino secundário, ou seja,
podemos concluir que as relações são em si mesmas cruciais para o bem-estar dos
indivíduos.
This study aims to analyze the role of the relationship with parents and peers in the positive development and subjective well-being of adolescents.The relevance of the indepth study of this theme lies in the fact that interpersonal relationships, namely with parents and peers, have an influence on the positive development and subjective wellbeing of adolescents. At a crucial time in the formation of identity, personal and vocational choices are important to explore subjective well-being and positive development. The sample consisted of 156 students from a high school in the northern region. The data exchange was carried out through a sociodemographic questionnaire, the “Index of Personal Well-Being”, the questionnaire “Positive Development of Adolescents” and the “California Healthy Kids Survey Resilience Assessment Module”. The results showed statistically significant values between males and females, with regard to satisfaction with the feeling of security of young adolescents in secondary education. Statistically found values were found in the 'Care' dimension of the DPA, regarding the course.It was possible to verify positive correlations between the personal well-being and the positive development of adolescents, as well as a relationship between these and the relationships with their parents and peers. We can also see, the higher the personal well-being index, the greater its positive development. With these results, it is possible to understand the factors associated with the well-being and positive development of adolescents, particularly in highschool education, that is, we can conclude that relationships are in themselves crucial for the well-being of individuals.
