Abstract(s)
This study, seeking to understand the factors that may influence the reconciliation between work and personal life, aims to understand the relationship between the perception of work-life conflict and the turnover intention of workers who occupy technical positions in different companies and, further, to understand, whether this relationship is moderated by the flexibility at work is provided (whether greater flexibility in working hours leads to less work-life conflict and, thus, less turnover intention). Sample consists of 601 participants, 59% working at startups and the rest at established companies. Data were collected online by the Qualtrics platform. Results showed that there is a positive relationship between work-life conflict and turnover intention, however, it only confirms a moderation due to work flexibility in startups and not in selected companies. In conclusion, it can be said that, for the participants, the work-life conflict has an impact on turnover intention, but work flexibility only influences this relationship in the specific type of startups.
