Abstract(s)
Introdução: Segundo a Ordem dos Enfermeiros, o enfermeiro especialista em saúde mental é detentor de um elevado nível de conhecimento e consciência sobre si enquanto pessoa e enfermeiro, que assiste a pessoa, família, grupos ou comunidade, na otimização da saúde mental ao longo do ciclo vital. Cabe ao enfermeiro especialista identificar necessidades da pessoa e população, estabelecer prioridades e planos de cuidados no âmbito psicoterapêutico, socioterapêutico, psicossocial e psicoeducacional ao longo da vida com o objetivo de recuperar, manter e melhorar a sua saúde mental. Deste modo, o enfermeiro especialista em saúde mental deverá identificar necessidades, adequar respostas, não descurando a especificidade da pessoa ou grupo, de forma a promover a saúde mental e a prevenir a doença mental. Objetivos: Descrição/Exposição do trabalho desenvolvido ao longo do estágio de Enfermagem de Saúde Mental e Psiquiátrica nos diferentes módulos preconizados pela instituição de ensino, de forma a desenvolver competências na área da saúde mental, e assim adquirir o grau de enfermeiro especialista na área supracitada e, posteriormente, o grau de mestre na mesma área de intervenção. Metodologia: Baseada no método descritivo/analítico, fundamentado em pesquisa bibliográfica e tendo como base as premissas da prática clínica baseada na evidência, bem como nos conteúdos lecionados nas unidades curriculares do curso pós-licenciatura de especialização em Enfermagem de Saúde Mental e Psiquiátrica. Discussão/Resultados: O estágio em Enfermagem de Saúde Mental e Psiquiátrica, dividido nos diferentes módulos, permitiu alcançar novos conhecimentos, bem como consolidar outros decorrentes da nossa prática clínica. Assim sendo, foi possível adquirir e desenvolver competências específicas do enfermeiro especialista em Saúde Mental e Psiquiátrica. Conclusão: Os cuidados de enfermagem prestados pelo especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Mental e Psiquiátrica fomentam a Enfermagem de Excelência, uma emergência da sociedade atual, personalizam a prestação de cuidados e dão resposta às necessidades da Pessoa na plenitude da palavra.
Introduction: According to the Order of Nurses, the nurse specialist in mental health is the owner of a high level of knowledge and awareness about himself as a person and as a nurse as well, assisting the patient, family, groups or the community, with the focus of optimization of the mental health during the vital cycle. It is up to the nurse specialist to identify the needs of the patient and population, to define priorities and plans of caring regarding several approaches during life as psycho and socio therapeutics and psycho-social and psychoeducational ones. The goal is to recover, keep and improve the mental health of the patient. Therefore, the nurse specialist in mental health must identify the needs and adequate the answers, non forgetting the specificity of the person or group, in order to promote the mental health and to prevent the mental disease. Goals: Description/Presentation of the work developed during the traineeship of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing in the several modules advocated by the learning institution in order to develop skills in this area of mental health and therefore to get the degree of nurse specialist in this area and, later, the degree of master in this same area of intervention: Methodology: Based in the descriptive/analytical method grounded in bibliographic research and having as its basis the premises of clinical practice based on evidences, as well as the contempts of the curricular units taught at the postgraduate course of specialization in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. Discussion/ Results: The traineeship in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, divided in its different modules, has allowed me to achieve new knowledges as well as to consolidate others, arising from our clinical practice. Therefore, it was possible to obtain and develop specific competencies of the nurse specialist in Psychiatric and Mental Health. Conclusion: The nursing care provided by the specialist in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing encourages the Nursing of Excellence, a demand of the modern society, and personalizes the provision of care and meets the needs of the Person in the fullness of the word.
