Abstract(s)
minimização do desperdício alimentar.
The future of Earth planet is compromised due to the mankind excessive exploitation on our natural resources, which lowers the available resources for the next generations, as well as increasing environmental pollution caused by the exploitation, resulting in the current ecological crisis. Regarding agriculture, this activity is responsible for 22% of total greenhouse gas emissions globally, contributing to the degradation of the Earth. According to integral ecology, citizens must be educated to adopt a lifestyle focused on food sustainability, trying to minimize food waste. The inclusion of ecology in the school curriculum is essential, where the Catholic Moral and Religious Education (that aims to contribute to the integral development of young people) stands out, given its objective of shaping mankind in order to the common good. This report aims to demonstrate the importance of educating food sustainability and the minimization of food waste.
