| dc.description.abstract | Esta dissertação analisa a presença de Luiza Andaluz na Igreja da I República. Luiza Andaluz nasceu em 1877 em Santarém e morreu em 1973 em Lisboa, tendo desenvolvido várias dinâmicas de intervenção ativa na sociedade. Este apoio surge no período da I República, em que as dificuldades ao Catolicismo se fizeram tão presentes e, de uma forma particular, em relação ao clero. Luiza Andaluz surge como uma mulher que se coloca ao serviço da Igreja, procurando responder às complexidades resultantes da política da I República. Nesse contexto, a educação dos mais desfavorecidos foi o seu foco. A entrada da sua irmã no mosteiro, em Espanha, foi fundamental para se questionar também pela sua vocação, pelo seu lugar na Igreja. Assim, o seu itinerário de vida cristã ficou marcado por este desejo de vida contemplativa, ainda que depois as necessidades da Igreja e a sua vontade de responder às mesmas, a tivessem conduzido a uma vida ativa. Uma vida ativa que nunca descarta a vida contemplativa. O seu contributo para a espiritualidade cristã é este dinamismo de unificação entre estas duas realidades, tendo sempre presente o bem do outro. Finalmente, a congregação das Servas de Nossa Senhora de Fátima, de que foi fundadora, é o ponto culminante do seu itinerário de vida cristã, que é entendido como missão e, por isso, parte integrante da sua participação na vida da Igreja. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation analyses the presence of Luiza Andaluz in the Church of the First Republic. Luiza Andaluz was born in 1877 in Santarem and died in 1973 in Lisbon, having carried out various active intervention dynamics in society. This support comes during the First Republic, when difficulties for Catholicism were deeply present and particularly regarding the clergy. Luiza Andaluz emerges as a woman who places herself at the service of the Church, seeking to address the complexities which were a result of the policies of First Republic. In that context, her focus was on the education for the underprivileged. Her sister’s entry into a monastery in Spain was pivotal in leading her to question her own vocation - her place in the Church. Therefore, her Christian life itinerary was marked by a desire for the contemplative life, even though the needs of the Church, and her will to respond to them, led her to an active life. An active life that never dismissed the contemplative life. Her contribution to Christian spirituality is this dynamism of unification of these two realities, always keeping in mind the good of the other. Finally, the congregation of the Servas de Nossa Senhora de Fátima (The Servants of Our Lady of Fatima), of which she was the founder, is the culmination point of her Christian life itinerary, understood as a mission and therefore an integrant part of her participation in the church life. | pt_PT |
