Importância da certificação ambiental e das medidas ambientalmente responsáveis no setor hoteleiro em Portugal

| dc.description.abstract | As operações realizadas por uma unidade hoteleira são uma fonte enorme de desperdício de recursos, que afetam de uma forma negativa a sua envolvente. É, assim, imperativo que sejam feitos esforços no sentido de poupar recursos ao nível da água, da energia e na gestão de resíduos fundamentalmente, de forma a abrandar o cada vez mais rápido uso de recursos naturais que, segundo alguns estudos irá duplicar num curto espaço temporal. Assim, e devido ao escasso número de estudos em Portugal sobre esta combinação entre o setor hoteleiro e o meio ambiente, tornou se fundamental conduzir este estudo que veio combinar dois objetivos primordiais para justificar a importância da certificação ambiental e das medidas ambientalmente responsáveis no setor hoteleiro, passando estes objetivos por perceber qual a importância para as unidades hoteleiras destas medidas e perceber qual a perceção dos consumidores em relação a este tipo de turismo. As motivações do trabalho basearam se essencialmente na pouca informação e nos poucos estudos que existem em Portugal sobre este tema, sendo que o fascínio pela atividade das unidades hoteleiras foi um motivador. Também a importância que este tipo de unidades hoteleiras pode ter para o turismo rural e a revitalização do mesmo foi outro motivador para a elaboração desta investigação. A metodologia utilizada foi à base de questionários e entrevistas individuais que me pareceram os instrumentos mais adequados para justificar e obter informação relevante ao estudo, sendo que foi o processo que me suscitou um maior número de limitações e contrariedades. Os principais resultados obtidos vão muito ao encontro da bibliografia encontrada sobre o tema, uma vez que as respostas dos hóspedes das unidades hoteleiras e das respetivas unidades foi muito positiva e revelou uma grande aceitação quer em termos de oferta quer em termos de procura face a este tipo de “green hotels”. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The operations carried out by a hotel unit are a huge source of waste of resources, which negatively affect the surroundings. It is therefore imperative that efforts be made to save resources on water, energy and waste management fundamentally in order to slow down the ever-rapid use of natural resources which, according to some studies, will double in a short period of time space. Thus, due to the limited number of studies in Portugal on this combination between the hotel sector and the environment, it became essential to conduct this study that came to combine two primary objectives to justify the importance of certification environmental and environmentally responsible measures in the hotel sector, passing these objectives by perceiving the importance for the hotel units of these measures and perceiving what consumers perceive in relation to this type of tourism. The motivations of the study were based essentially on the little information and the few studies that exist in Portugal on this subject, and the passion that has always been a characteristic in relation to the hotel unit was a motivator. Also the importance that this type of hotel units can have for rural tourism and the revitalization of it was a motivator for the preparation of this research. The methodology used was based on questionnaires and individual interviews that seemed to me the most appropriate tools to justify and obtain information relevant to the study, and it was the process that gave me a greater number of limitations and Setbacks. The main results obtained are very much in line with the bibliography found on the subject, since the responses of the guests of the hotel units and their units was very positive and revealed a great acceptance both in terms of offer and in in terms of demand for this type of green hotels. | pt_PT |
