Abstract(s)
A crescente importância da comunicação interna nas organizações tem sido objeto de
estudo de diferentes autores e é hoje considerada como um fator de sucesso empresarial,
sendo crucial para o desenvolvimento e produtividade das organizações.
A comunicação interna tem como destinatários os públicos internos das organizações e
como objetivo garantir o conforto, motivação, satisfação e processo de comunicação dos e
com os colaboradores, para que isso se traduza num desempenho positivo dos mesmos. Por
forma a implementar uma estratégia de comunicação interna eficaz é essencial
compreender as necessidades e expectativas dos colaboradores.
O presente estudo de caso procura compreender o papel da comunicação interna numa
organização hospitalar. O estudo de caso no Hospital Vila Franca de Xira permitiu analisar
a forma como os colaboradores de várias categorias profissionais utilizam a comunicação
interna, e quais os meios que vão ao encontro das suas necessidades e expectativas.
Constatou-se, pelos resultados do estudo, a aferição das três hipóteses de investigação. Ou
seja, os principais meios de comunicação interna utilizados no Hospital Vila Franca de Xira
vão ao encontro das necessidades dos colaboradores. Contudo, a preferência por meios de
comunicação tradicionais e digitais e a satisfação relativamente aos seus conteúdos varia
consoante a categoria profissional dos colaboradores.
The growing importance of internal communication in organizations has been a subject of study by different authors throughout the years and is today considered a factor of organizational success, crucial to the organization’s development and productivity. The internal communication of an organization is directed towards its internal public, and has the objective of guaranteeing the comfort, motivation, work satisfaction and communication of all employees. In order to implement an effective internal communication strategy, the organization has to understand the needs and expectations of its employees. This aim of this research is to understand the role of internal communication in a hospital organization. The internal communication of Hospital Vila Franca de Xira was studied in order to comprehend how the employees use the internal communication channels, and which tools were more suitable for employees working in different areas of the hospital. The results from de case study allow the validation of the three hypothesis of the investigation. Meaning, the internal communication strategy of the hospital meets the employees’ needs. However, the preference between traditional and digital tools depend on the professional category of each employee.
