Abstract(s)
O professor de violino é na sua essência um músico e artista, cujas competências e responsabilidades perante os seus alunos não se esgotam no contexto da sala de aula. Um professor de violino que pretende ser orientador para com os seus alunos, irá servir de elo de ligação entre estes e o palco, criando situações que otimizem e consolidem os fundamentos aprendidos na sala de aula. No sentido de alargar esses fundamentos para um âmbito de apresentação perante o público, o professor de violino irá servir de exemplo artístico aos pupilos através de concertos em palco, e de modelo interpretativo através da execução prática nas aulas.
O objetivo desta dissertação pretende avaliar a influência e relevância do trabalho de palco dos professores de violino, na motivação dos seus alunos para a prática do instrumento. Para esse efeito, foi utilizada uma metodologia qualitativa, através de inquéritos de pergunta fechada a 41 alunos de violino da Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave. Os dados recolhidos foram posteriormente tratados de forma quantitativa usando o programa SPSS 20.
Os resultados desse inquérito revelaram que os alunos atribuem uma grande importância a uma vida artística ativa no palco dos seus professores, e que revelem proficiência instrumental dentro da sala de aula. É também esperado por parte dos alunos que o seu professor use a sua experiência de palco para os orientar no sentido de melhor enfrentar as diferentes variáveis que compõe uma apresentação em público.
Desta forma o professor que mantenha a sua essência enquanto músico performer, pode incrementar a motivação dos alunos para a prática do violino, servindo-se de si próprio como figura modelar enquanto artista de palco.
The violin teacher is in its essence, a musician and artist, whose competences and responsibilities before his students are not limited to the classroom. A violin teacher, who thrives to be an orienting figure for his students, will become a link between them and the stage, creating situations that can help to optimize and consolidate the fundaments taught in the classroom. With the objective of broadening these fundaments towards a spectrum of public performance, the violin teacher will become an artistic role-model for his students via concert performing on the stage, and an interpretative role-model via his illustrations with the instrument in the classroom. The objective of this dissertation is to measure the influence and relevance deriving from the teacher´s own stage proficiency, in the motivation of his students for the study of the instrument. Towards this goal, a quantitative methodology was selected by using closed-answer questionnaires sent to 41 violin students from the Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave. The data was then processed in a quantitative method using the SPSS 20 data-analysis software. The data analysis shows that the violin students put a great deal of importance in their teachers’ active artistic lives, and also their instrumental proficiency in the classroom. The students expect that the teacher will use his own stage experience towards guiding them to better face the different variables which make up a public presentation. Therefore, the teacher who keeps his essence as a performing musician, may increment the students motivation for the study of the violin, by becoming a model figure as a stage artist.
