Este estudo analisa o impacto do Portugal Fashion no empreendedorismo têxtil em Portugal, destacando o seu papel como catalisador de inovação, internacionalização e sucesso empresarial. Através de uma análise aprofundada, são exploradas as sinergias entre o evento e o ecossistema empreendedor, revelando diferentes perspetivas valiosas sobre os desafios e oportunidades enfrentadas pelos empreendedores têxteis. A pesquisa concentra-se na evolução do setor têxtil nos últimos dez anos, explorando como o evento contribui para o surgimento e crescimento de novos negócios, além de identificar as principais influências e mudanças resultantes deste fenómeno. A revisão da literatura destaca as teorias e conceitos chave do empreendedorismo, ressaltando as características e habilidades necessárias para prosperar no setor têxtil. Além disso, são discutidos os desafios enfrentados pelos empreendedores, como a concorrência global e a falta de acesso a financiamento, juntamente com as estratégias adotadas para superá-los. Por meio de estudos de caso de empreendedores de sucesso, são apresentadas estratégias e competências essenciais que contribuíram para o crescimento e êxito no setor têxtil em Portugal. O Portugal Fashion emerge como um agente transformador que impulsiona o crescimento económico, apoiando talentos emergentes e fortalecendo a posição de Portugal no cenário global da moda. Para além disso, o estudo também destaca a importância da inovação e da sustentabilidade, propondo recomendações para promover o crescimento sustentável do setor. A metodologia de pesquisa adotada inclui uma análise detalhada da literatura e dados existentes, tanto quantitativos como qualitativos, cujo objetivo consiste em estudar e compreender o perfil dos empreendedores têxteis e uma entrevista, dirigida à Diretora do Portugal Fashion. A coleta de dados permite uma análise aprofundada do perfil destes empreendedores e dos desafios enfrentados pelos mesmos, tais como a concorrência global e a falta de acesso a financiamento. Em conclusão, este estudo visa oferecer uma visão abrangente do empreendedorismo no setor têxtil em Portugal, identificando oportunidades, desafios e estratégias para os empreendedores contribuindo, assim, para a valorização da moda portuguesa. As recomendações propostas visam promover o crescimento sustentável do setor, incentivando a inovação e inspirando futuros líderes desta indústria a nível nacional.
This study analyses the impact of Portugal Fashion on textile entrepreneurship in Portugal, highlighting its role as a catalyst for innovation, internationalization and business success. Through an in-depth analysis, the synergies between the event and the entrepreneurial ecosystem are explored, revealing valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by textile entrepreneurs. The research focuses on the evolution of the textile sector over the last ten years, exploring how the event contributes to the emergence and growth of new businesses, as well as identifying the main influences and changes resulting from this phenomenon. The literature review highlights the key theories and concepts of entrepreneurship, emphasizing the characteristics and skills needed to thrive in the textile sector. In addition, the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, such as global competition and lack of access to finance, are discussed, along with the strategies adopted to overcome them. Through case studies of successful entrepreneurs, key strategies and skills that have contributed to growth and success in the textile sector in Portugal are presented. Portugal Fashion emerges as a transformative agent, driving economic growth, supporting emerging talent and strengthening Portugal's position on the global fashion stage. In addition, the study also highlights the importance of innovation and sustainability, proposing recommendations to promote sustainable growth in the sector. The research methodology adopted includes questionnaires, interview and data analysis to understand the profile of textile entrepreneurs, quantitative and qualitative results, and comparison with existing literature. The data collection allows for an in-depth analysis of the profile of textile entrepreneurs, as well as the challenges they face, such as global competition and lack of access to finance. In conclusion, this study aims to offer a comprehensive view of entrepreneurship in the textile sector in Portugal, identifying opportunities, challenges and strategies for entrepreneurs, thus contributing to the enhancement of Portuguese fashion.
