Influência da estrutura sintática gestual portuguesa na aquisição da estrutura SVO língua portuguesa oral em crianças com surdez e utilizadoras de implante coclear

| dc.description.abstract | Os objetivos do presente estudo prenderam-se com a investigação da possível influência da estrutura sintática da Língua Gestual Portuguesa na aquisição da Língua Portuguesa Oral. Neste sentido, foram analisadas as produções orais espontâneas de quatro crianças com surdez sensorioneural de grau profundo bilateral. Duas delas crianças apresentaram implantes cocleares bilaterais, idade auditiva superior e acesso precoce à Língua Gestual Portuguesa e as restantes implantes cocleares unilaterais, idade auditiva inferior e acesso mais tardio à língua gestual. No que concerne à estrutura sintática, a Língua Portuguesa Oral apresenta uma estrutura básica de SVO, que não é partilhada pela Língua Gestual Portuguesa, na qual o verbo aparenta ocupar uma posição final. Constatou-se que as produções das crianças, com acesso mais tardio à Língua Gestual Portuguesa e com idade auditiva menor, apresentaram uma percentagem superior de produções agramaticais e dentro destas, a produção de enunciados com o verbo em posição final. No entanto, apenas se verificou um enunciado semelhante, produzido por uma das crianças com acesso mais precoce ao implante coclear. Apenas numa criança com idade auditiva inferior se observou a inversão do objeto direto. A estrutura da língua gestual aparenta ter influência na aquisição da sintaxe da língua oral. No entanto, foi salientado que esta aparente transferência deve ser vista como um aspeto normal dentro do quadro dos fenómenos observados em indivíduos bilingues. Não descuidando que as crianças devem ter acesso a bons modelos linguísticos, para que o domínio das regras da língua oral seja o melhor possível. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The objectives of the current study are related with the research of possible influence of the syntactic structure of Portuguese Sign Language (LGP) with the acquisition of Portuguese Oral Language. In this sense, it was analyzed oral spontaneous productions of four children with bilateral profound sensorineural hearing loss. Two of these children presented bilateral cochlear implants, superior hearing age and earlier access to LGP, and the remaining children, with unilateral cochlear implants, inferior hearing age, and later access to sign language. Regarding the syntactic structure, the Portuguese oral language presents a basic subject-verb-object structure, which is not shared with the LGP, where the verb seems to be placed in the last position. It was found that the productions of the children, with later access to LGP and with minor hearing age, had a higher percentage of ungrammatical productions, and within these, the production of utterances with the verb in last position. However, only one similar utterance was found, produced by one of the children with access to earlier cochlear implant. Also only one of the children with inferior hearing age, the inversion of the direct object was observed. The structure of sign languages seems to have influence on the acquisition of syntax in oral language. However, it was emphasized that this apparent transfer should be seen as a normal aspect within the framework of the observed phenomena in bilingual individuals.
