| dc.description.abstract | Nesta dissertação, revemos os últimos cem anos de pronunciamentos dos sucessores de Pedro, do Papa Leão XIII, ao Papa Bento XVI, atestando a atenção e interesse com que a igreja católica sempre olhou para as potencialidades oferecidas pelas novas tecnologias de informação e de comunicação. Olhamos de um ponto de vista comunicacional para a urgência da Nova Evangelização pronunciada pelo Papa João Paulo II, dando continuidade ao já expresso pelo Papa Paulo VI e pelo próprio II Concílio do Vaticano. Alicerçamos a nossa reflexão em autores selecionados entre uma variedade de outras possibilidades. Seguimos de modo mais estrutural as teorias de McQuail, Castells, Baudrillard, e McLuhan, e fazemos um percurso cronológico proporcionado pelos referidos autores: da Galáxia Gutenberg à Galáxia Internet, passando pela Galáxia McLuhaniana. Em síntese, exploramos a conclusão de que a rede da sociedade em rede em que vivemos, desta Galáxia Internet onde navegamos, é em boa parte a rede de sempre, onde o próprio Jesus de Nazaré nos desafia a acreditarmos numa pesca milagrosa… Lançai de novo as redes – assim fizemos. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | In this dissertation, we revise the last hundred years of pronouncements by the successors of Peter, from Pope Leo XIII to Pope Benedict XVI, testifying the attention and interest with which the Catholic Church has always looked at the potential offered by new technologies of information and communication. From a communicational standpoint, we reaffirm the challenge of the urgency of New Evangelization put forward by Pope John Paul II, following the indications of Pope Paul VI and the Vatican Council II. We base our reflection on selected authors from a variety of possibilities, namely the theories of McQuail, Castells, Baudrillard and McLuhan. We present a chronological analysis of the matter, from the Gutenberg Galaxy to the Internet Galaxy. In summary, we explore the conclusion that points out that the net of the network society we live in nowadays, where we surf the galaxy of the Internet, is largely the same net in which we have always lived, where Jesus of Nazareth has challenged us to believe in a miraculous catch... so let us cast the nets again... and so we did. | por |
