Abstract(s)
As principais implicações destes resultados serão discutidas.
With the existence of growing social needs and the decreased responses of the family, the social economy organisations emerge as essential in helping people in situations of need or vulnerability, especially, in this specific case, elderly people. Therefore, these organisations must establish themselves in a quality context, which can only happen with the commitment and particular training of employees and their managers, whose wellbeing contributes to improving services and general wellbeing. This work aims to study and understand the relationship between people's wellbeing inside and outside of work and investigate whether management support contributes to the wellbeing of employees in social responses aimed at older people. This investigation adopted a quantitative approach, using a crosssectional design and nonprobability sampling. The sample was made up of 206 individuals over the age of 18 who had been employed for over a year in social responses dedicated to older people. This study aimed to collect a sample at a national level. It continued with an online questionnaire through the Google Forms platform to collect data regarding sociodemographic variables and the respective instruments to measure management support, engagement, burnout, and general satisfaction with life. The results indicated a positive and significant relationship between the perception of support from management and work engagement and a negative and significant relationship between the perception of support from management and burnout. A positive and significant relationship was found between work engagement and general life satisfaction, however, the relationship between burnout and general life satisfaction was not significant. The main implications of these results will be discussed.
