Abstract(s)
As acções beligerantes têm fomentado, no mundo, catástrofes económicas, sociais, culturais, religiosas e perdas humanas incalculáveis.
Disagreements, controversies, rivalries, fights, divisions and wars disturb the coexistence desired by each and every living being. Each and every living being is quiet. Peace, security and well-being make up the happiness of being. Man is the only living being able to self-destruct and destroy others and the environment. We cannot talk about social reconciliation in Angola without looking at other latitudes, at what is happening around the world. Peace precedes true and reliable reconciliation because it takes up residence in the human heart, the source of God's love. The belligerent actions have fomented, in the world, economic, social, cultural, religious catastrophes and incalculable human losses. Wars are like venereal and transmissible diseases; they multiply with each passing day and are a threat to life on planet Earth. Angola's history is marked by atrocious periods since the colonial occupation, 1482/83 until 1975; the struggles for decolonization (1948-2002); fractionism, in the postindependence period, 1977-1979. Despite the Church's efforts and appeals for peace, Angola has only rested from the war since 2002, but still with turmoil of political, cultural and religious intolerance that threatens the peace achieved in the Luena Memorandum. We outline a socio-theological essay leading to stable peace and social reconciliation, as an arbitrary form of mediation and intermediation of conflicts and misunderstandings, through dialogue with a view to the greater and common good. Theological work, as the Church's mission in the world, God's pacifist project, becomes the voice of the voiceless and instead of the voiceless because silenced by the power that human lives kill. At the level of Angola, CEAST's messages, in this context, were always vehement appeals to politicians, military and powerful organizations and to men of war, for peace and reconciliation between men. This exercise concerning the achievement of social reconciliation in Angola, is a flashlight focused on the lived reality with the objective of illuminating it for the maintenance of peace and the construction of a culture of peace, unity and social cohesion among all. Humanity must put into practice the love that God has instilled in their hearts.
