Este relatório tem como objetivo principal descrever as atividades desenvolvidas no decorrer do estágio, e objetivos planeados para adquirir as competências propostas pelo plano de estudos do curso. Também foi considerada e abordada a experiência desenvolvida na área de Saúde Infantil e Pediatria noutros contexto de estágio, com o inerente desenvolvimento e aquisição de competências. Para a concretização deste trabalho utilizei uma metodologia descritiva e reflexiva, baseada no desenvolvimento da minha atividade. Recorri a entrevistas informais com os Enfermeiros Especialistas em Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica (EESIP), a pesquisa bibliográfica com evidência científica bem como aos registos das atividades executadas. Num exercício autocrítico e reflexivo sistemático, todo o documento revela um processo lógico de evolução profissional e pessoal que considero ter sido atingido. Posso concluir que cabe aos EESIP a prestação de cuidados especializados às crianças e jovens, sem desvirtuar o binómio criança/ jovem e suas famílias. Um EESIP deve reconhecer a criança como ser vulnerável, valorizar dos pais/pessoa significativa como os primeiros prestadores de cuidados, e maximizar o potencial de crescimento e desenvolvimento da criança; promovendo assim um bem-estar da criança/ jovem e sua família.
The main goal of this report is to describe the activities developed during the internship and the established goals in order to ensure the acquisition of the competences proposed by the course's study plan. The experience developed in the area of Child Health and Paediatrics in other internship contexts was also considered and addressed, as well as the development and acquisition of skills inherent to these. To carry out this work I used a descriptive and reflective methodology, grounded on the development of my activity. I resorted to informal interviews with Child and Paediatric Health Specialist Nurses (CPHSN), to bibliographic research based on scientific evidence and to the records of the activities performed. In a systematic self-critical and reflective exercise, the entire document reveals a logical process of evolution both professional and personal that I believe has been achieved. I can conclude that it is up to CPHSN to provide specialized care to children and juvenile, without misconstruing the binomial child/juvenile and their families. A CPHSN must recognize the child as being vulnerable, value the parents/significant person as the primary caregivers, and maximize the child's growth and development potential; thus, promoting the wellbeing of the child/juvenile and their family.
