| dc.description.abstract | A seguinte dissertação foca-se na análise da temática patológica depressiva ao longo da cinematografia do realizador dinamarquês, Lars von Trier. A análise permitir-me-á reflectir sobre a sua visão pessimista do mundo. Será feita uma análise e reflecção da experiência pessoal e consequente expressão visual. Serão também estudados os motivos recorrentes na obra do realizador de forma a desconstruir a representação da depressão e estabelecer que esta é algo central e transversal à sua cinematografia. Partindo deste entendimento, será feita a análise estética de três filmes do realizador: Breaking the Waves, Dogville e Antichrist. Constato, desta forma, como é que a depressão é representada e quais as suas vicissitudes estéticas ao longo destes três filmes. A investigação e análise levam-me a um entendimento da sua visão pessimista do mundo sendo que a depressão patológica das suas personagens e do seu mundo fílmico, permitem-me dissecar a evolução desta sua visão. A temática depressiva e, por conseguinte, a sua visão pessimista do mundo atinge o seu clímax no filme Antichrist. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The following dissertation is focused on the theme of depression along the cinematic work of the Danish director, Lars von Trier. The analysis will allow me to reflect and dissect his pessimistic vision of the world. With the propose of proving that depression is a main and transversal theme of von Trier’s work, I’ll deconstruct and study the underlying motifs of the representation of depression. With this understanding, the case study will focus on the aesthetic analysis of three of his films: Breaking the Waves, Dogville and Antichrist. Both bibliographic study and aesthetic analysis allow me to reflect on his pessimistic vision and the evolution along his cinematography. The theme of depression and consequently his pessimistic vision climax on his most violent film to date, Antichrist. | pt_PT |
