Abstract(s)
O presente estudo teve como objectivo geral conhecer o consumo de álcool e
atitudes sobre a gravidez e a maternidade nas grávidas utentes na Unidade Local de Saúde
de Matosinhos. Especificamente pretende-se conhecer os consumos de álcool, explorar as
atitudes sobre a gravidez e a maternidade e, por último, explorar as correlações entre tipos
de consumo e atitudes sobre a gravidez e a maternidade.
Para este estudo, recorreu-se a 89 mulheres grávidas com idades compreendidas
entre os 21 e os 41 anos. Os dados foram recolhidos nos cursos de preparação pós-parto,
em três centros de saúde da Unidade Local de Saúde de Matosinhos (Matosinhos, Senhora
da Hora e Leça da Palmeira). Os instrumentos utilizados foram, a Escala de Atitudes sobre a
Gravidez e a Maternidade- EAGM e o Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test- AUDIT. Os
principais resultados sugerem que não se verificam diferenças estatisticamente significativas
entre as participantes do presente estudo e a população em geral em relação a algumas
subescalas das atitudes sobre a gravidez e a maternidade e relativamente ao Alcohol Use
Disorder Identification Test, apesar de a amostra ser limitada, os resultados mostraram-se
alarmantes, uma vez que uma percentagem significativa de mulheres grávidas (20,2%)
consome álcool durante a gravidez. Os resultados obtidos foram corroborados com a
revisão bibliográfica realizada.
The present study aimed to understand the alcohol consumption and attitudes about pregnancy and maternity in pregnant users in Local Health Unit in Matosinhos. Specifically intended to meet the consumption of alcohol, explore attitudes about pregnancy and maternity and, finally, explore the correlations between consumption patterns and attitudes about pregnancy and maternity. For this study, appealed to 89 pregnant women aged between 21 and 41 years. Data were collected in preparation courses postpartum health centers in 3 Local Health Unit in Matosinhos (Matosinhos, Senhora da Hora and Leça da Palmeira). The instruments used were Attitudes Scale on Pregnancy and Maternity- EAGM and Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test- AUDIT. The main results suggest that there are no statistically significant differences between the participants of this study and the general population for some subscales of attitudes about pregnancy and maternity, and for the Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test, although the sample is limited, results were alarming, since a significant percentage of pregnant women (20,2%) consumed alcohol during pregnancy. The results were corroborated with the literature review.
