Abstract(s)
Esta investigação baseia-se em diversos estudos académicos a respeito da televisão e dos telejornais, nomeadamente o Jornal Nacional, da Globo no Brasil, e o Jornal da Noite, da SIC em Portugal. Tem por objetivo compreender a linha editorial dos telejornais mencionados durante os primeiros quinze dias da Guerra na Ucrânia, entre 24 de fevereiro de 2022 e 10 de março de 2022. Diante disso, este estudo tem como questão de investigação: como a SIC e a Globo noticiaram, em seus principais telejornais do horário nobre, o início da Guerra na Ucrânia paralelamente a outros temas. Para responder a essa questão de investigação, foi utilizado o método de análise de conteúdo para identificar as variáveis de investigação, tais como: tema, género, forma e tempo das notícias dos objetos de estudo. E ainda, como se deram as aberturas, discurso referente à guerra e as estratégias de organização do alinhamento de cada telejornal. Os resultados da investigação refletem a forma como a informação é tratada nos principais programas informativos do horário nobre, a valorização da tragédia diante de outras temáticas e a notícia como interesse do público. A análise mostra ainda como os alinhamentos de cada telejornal se diferem, a pandemia que deixou de fazer parte do Jornal da Noite ao passo que se manteve presente no Jornal Nacional. E mais, o considerável tempo dedicado à participação de comentadores no telejornal da SIC, diferentemente da Globo.
Television developed and quickly strengthened all over the world. With several transformations and evolutions, it remains present in the homes of society. In this way, what is conveyed in this renowned means of communication has, at the same time, prestige and responsibility, especially the informative programs. Therefore, this investigation is based on several academic studies about television and newscasts, namely Jornal Nacional, from Globo in Brazil, and Jornal da Noite, from SIC in Portugal, with the aim of understanding how they have treated the thematic categories established for this study, in the face of a world catastrophe, the War in Ukraine. To this end, the temporal universe of analysis chosen was between February 24, 2022 and March 10, 2022, the first fifteen days of the war. To respond to the problem, the content analysis method was used to identify the variables of investigation, such as: thematic category, genre, form and time of the news of the objects of study. And also, how the openings took place, the speech referring to the war, the approach to the Coronavirus pandemic and the organizational strategies for the alignment of each newscast. The results of the investigation reflect the way in which information is treated in the main prime-time news programs, the appreciation of the tragedy over other themes and the news as an interest of the public. The analysis also shows how the alignments of each newscast differ, the pandemic that ceased to be part of Jornal da Noite while it remained present in Jornal Nacional and the time dedicated to the participation of commentators in the SIC newscast, unlike Globo.
