Resumo(s)
Apresenta-se uma revisão da literatura respeitante ao estudo de rotinas, tradições, celebrações e rituais, tomando a Família como enquadramento sociológico e os modelos de funcionamento familiar como referência conceptual. Nomeadamente, o paradigma do Ciclo de Vida Familiar (Carter & McGoldrick, 2001), através dos seus conceitos fundamentais, proporciona uma fundamentação teórica adequada à análise do tema Festa, às suas tipologias, bem como à sua natureza e significado para a Família. Do percurso conceptual seguido ressalta a importância do grupo familiar como referencial situacional adequado e útil para a compreensão do conceito de Festa, facilitando também a análise das suas múltiplas formas de expressão, culturalmente enraizadas. Por fim, emerge a importância da função desenvolvimental da Festa para a Família e para cada um dos seus membros, constituindo-se, por isso, como um desafio à acção educativa, social e terapêutica.
This paper includes a review of the literature on routines, traditions, celebrations and rituals and adopts the family as a sociological background and a family psychological model as a conceptual reference. In particular, the Family Life Cycle (Carter & McGoldrick, 2001) and concepts are deployed as a theoretical framework to analyse types, nature and senses of festivity, within the family group. The importance of family as a situational concept proved useful in generating a better understanding of festivity. These theoretical concepts facilitate the analysis of their multiple expressions and functions in different cultural contexts, for the family as a group and for the development of participants. The opportunity for educational, social or therapeutic interventions are also pointed out.
