De enfermeira generalista a enfermeira especialista : um desafio edificante e inspirador

Este relatório surge como resultado do processo de aquisição de conhecimentos e competências desenvolvido ao longo do 16.º curso de Mestrado da Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) na Escola de Enfermagem de Lisboa, para a obtenção do grau de mestre em Enfermagem, com especialização em Enfermagem Médico-cirúrgica, na área de Enfermagem à Pessoa em Situação Crítica. Foi realizado no âmbito da unidade curricular “Estágio Final e Relatório”, que incluiu dois estágios, o primeiro num serviço de urgência geral e o segundo numa unidade de cuidados intensivos polivalente. O objetivo major destes estágios foi o desenvolvimento de competências técnico-científicas, relacionais, éticas e deontológicas na prestação de Cuidados de Enfermagem Especializados à Pessoa em Situação Crítica, sendo que para tal foi mobilizada a capacidade de relação entre a evidência científica e a prática, resultando na prestação de cuidados de enfermagem especializada de excelência. O relatório inclui a descrição dos locais de estágios e a análise crítico-reflexiva das competências específicas do enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem médico-cirúrgica na área de enfermagem à pessoa em situação crítica, fundamentando a sua aquisição na evidência científica e prática desenvolvida. Engloba ainda a fundamentação da aquisição das competências de Mestre em Enfermagem, desenvolvidas essencialmente através da realização de uma Scoping Review, que permitiu consolidar a metodologia da investigação científica para fomentar mudança e translação de conhecimento baseado na evidência para uniformizar os cuidados. O tema escolhido, cuidados de enfermagem na prevenção de infeção do local cirúrgico no transplantado renal, encontra-se relacionado com a minha prática profissional atual e reflete um problema enfrentado pela equipa, tornando-o por isso relevante para a aquisição de conhecimentos que melhorem os cuidados prestados. Todas as atividades desenvolvidas constituíram a base do meu crescimento enquanto enfermeira especialista e mestre em enfermagem, contribuindo para a prática de uma enfermagem especializada.
This report is the result of the process of acquiring knowledge and skills developed during the 16th Master's Degree course at the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) at the Lisbon School of Nursing, to obtain a Master's Degree in Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing Branch, in the area of Nursing for People in Critical Situations. It was carried out as part of the "Final Internship and Report" curricular unit, which included two internships, the first in a general emergency service and the second in a multipurpose intensive care unit. The main objective of these internships was to develop technical-scientific, relational, ethical and deontological skills in the provision of Specialized Nursing Care to the Critically Ill Person. To this end, the ability to relate scientific evidence to practice was mobilized, resulting in the provision of specialized nursing care of excellence. The document includes a description of the internship sites and a critical-reflective analysis of the specific competences of the nurse specializing in medical-surgical nursing in nursing the critically ill person, basing their acquisition on scientific evidence and the practice developed. It also provides a basis for the acquisition of the Master's in Nursing competences, developed essentially by carrying out a scoping review, which made it possible to consolidate the methodology of scientific research in order to bring about change and produce evidencebased knowledge to standardize care. The topic chosen, nursing care in the prevention of surgical site infection in kidney transplant patients, is related to my current professional practice and reflects a problem faced by the team, making it relevant for acquiring knowledge to improve the care provided. All the activities carried out formed the basis of my growth as a specialist nurse and master in nursing, contributing to the practice of advanced nursing.
