Abstract(s)
O presente relatório tem como objectivo apresentar, analisar e reflectir o desempenho
profissional e pessoal que decorreu ao longo da prática clínica de cuidados de
Enfermagem Especializada em Saúde Mental e Psiquiátrica. O estágio decorreu em três
áreas específicas que se complementam entre si.
Na área da intervenção na crise do adulto, intervi com pessoas portadoras de doença
mental em fase aguda estabelecendo uma relação terapêutica e desenvolvendo actividades
terapêuticas com vista à promoção da saúde mental do utente/família. Com o objectivo de
contribuir para a formação em enfermagem desenvolvi um caso clínico e apresentei-o em
serviço.
Na área da psicogeriatria, com a finalidade de promover o auto-cuidado nos doentes
institucionalizados, implementei um programa de treino de actividades de vida diária para
treinar competências e por sua vez promover a auto-estima dos utentes. Para
complementar o conhecimento, compreensão e gestão efectiva das limitações
apresentadas pelos utentes realizei sessões de Educação para a Saúde. Aos profissionais
de saúde foi realizada uma sessão de formação, no sentindo de realçar a importância de
treino da autonomia dos utentes nas suas actividades básicas da vida diária e realçar a
importância da nossa intervenção na reabilitação funcional e psicossocial.
Na área da promoção de estilos de vida, diagnóstico e prevenção na comunidade e
centros de saúde, a minha intervenção centrou-se na promoção da saúde mental dos
utentes/famílias, desenvolvendo acções especializadas que visam a adopção de estilos de
vida saudáveis. Neste campo, investi na prevenção/redução do risco de perturbações
mentais conjugando intervenções psicoterapêuticas com sessões psicoeducativas dirigidas
aos utentes e às suas famílias/cuidadores
In this report it is presented and discussed the professional and the personal developments that resulted from the realization of an internship in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, which focused three very specific and complementary topics. In terms of adult crisis intervention, this work addressed the problematic of how to promote the mental health of a patient/family. The study that was realized involved patients with severe mental health diseases and consisted in the definition of suitable therapeutic relationships and of therapeutic activities to endorse the patient/family mental health. In this scope, a case study was investigated and presented at work for other health professionals as a contribution for their education in nursing. In what concerns to psychogeriatrics, a special program was developed and implemented with hospitalized patients so as to promote self-caring and self-esteem in them. Such program consisted in training the patients to realize several basic daily activities. In this scope, some sessions of the course on Education for Health were attended that not only allowed to fully understand this problematic, but also to manage much better such limitations. Moreover, a single session course about the importance of health professional people in both the functional and psicosocial rehabilitation of the patients, as well as in training them for the realization of basic activities, was also ministered to a group of health professionals. Finally, regarding to the endorsement of better life styles, diagnosis and preventions, a few actions were taken to promote healthy life styles, and thus mental health, of both the patients and their families. This was achieved with the realization of several psicoeducative sessions and with multiple psciotherapeutical actions, targeted for both the patients and their families/caretakers.
