Abstract(s)
O presente estudo teve como principal objetivo caracterizar e examinar a associação entre a Ansiedade na Performance Musical (APM) e o bem-estar psicológico em 475 jovens estudantes de música do 3º ciclo. Os resultados identificaram uma correlação positiva entre a APM, ansiedade-traço e problemas de internalização e de externalização. Relativamente ao género e grau de instrumento, as raparigas evidenciaram níveis mais elevados de APM do que os rapazes, mas não houve qualquer tipo de relação entre esta variável e o grau de instrumento. No seguimento destes resultados, são sugeridas orientações para investigações futuras.
The main objective of this study was to characterize and examine the association between Musical Performance Anxiety (MPA) and psychological well-being in 475 3rd cycle music students. The results identified a positive correlation between APM, trait anxiety and internalizing and externalizing problems. Regarding gender and instrument grade, girls showed higher levels of APM than boys, but there was no relationship between this variable and instrument grade. Following these results, directions for future research are suggested.
