Abstract(s)
Posteriormente, o trabalho empírico seguiu a metodologia do estudo
The present dissertation presents an analysis to the communication made in the organizations by looking at the different generations taking into account the life course of each one. In a first step, the work was based on a literature review focused on key concepts for research such as generation, communication, verbal and non-verbal language, behavior and organizations. Subsequently, the empirical work followed the methodology of the case study, selecting a small organization (Carnes LM) and a large one (ALPM). In the first stage, a non-participant observation was performed in both companies and then an semi-structured interview with a member of each institution. The documental research of facts, documents and graphs characterized the population active and employed in Portugal, also considering variables of age group and sex. In the course of the study, the increasing importance of generational communication in organizations was perceptible, namely in the two cases studied and in the way communication is made and how people behave in these two organizations. Given the shortage of studies with this approach applied to the Portuguese reality, this dissertation intends to contribute to the entire academic community.
