Abstract(s)
A presente investigação teve como principal objetivo a perceção das dinâmicas de
acolhimento e de integração dos menores num Lar de Infância e Juventude com vista a
aferir os procedimentos e as normas seguidas pelo mesmo, para assim compreender que
medida o Lar observado está adaptado para levar a cabo a sua missão.
Tendo em vista o objetivo mencionado, levamos a cabo um estudo de caso num lar
de infância e juventude que funciona em regime de IPSS (Instituição de Solidariedade
Social,) tendo sido efetuadas entrevistas semiestruturadas através das quais se visava
conhecer os aspetos mais salientes da realidade observada, através da reflexão sobre a
experiência de quem a vivencia/vivenciou, como é o caso dos jovens acolhidos, familiares
e dos técnicos que os acompanham.
A temática abordada no presente estudo exploratório carece de desenvolvimento
científico dado que são ainda escassos os estudos desenvolvidos sobre a mesma. Por esta
razão existem ainda muitas questões a responder sobretudo no que diz respeito ao
enquadramento das práticas de acolhimento no nosso país.
No entanto, e tal como podemos concluir, as dinâmicas de acolhimento estão cada
vez mais próximas do desejável Family Like Environment de onde sobressaí a valorização
da geratividade, da criação de laços e de valor emocional que a Teoria Relacional
Simbólica sustenta.
The main goal of this research project is to understand the dynamics of reception, integration of the child in a foster home and to understand the younger project's life in these places. Additionally, it seek to know the programs of family and community reintegration taking into account the development of the young people that integrate them. The object of this study is the diagnosis of an institution that adopts children in regard to procedures and intervention standards followed by the institution. We intend to appreciate the extent to which the organization is adapted, in terms of procedures and standards, to ensure the best interests of children and young people. To carry out this exploratory study, we will elaborate semi-structured interviews designed to know the most salient aspects of this reality, through the reflection on the experience of those who experience it, as in the case of institutionalized youths, their relatives and the technicians that follow them. Therefore, the work we will develop combines the qualitative (descriptive and interpretative) research documentary with the interview technique. There are few studies in this area and answers to arose questions have not yet obtained conclusive answers. It is important to question about this problem that has not been properly studied in Portugal. Despite that fact, and as we conclude, the dynamics of foster hosting are increasingly closer to the desirable Family Like Environment as the generativity and emotional ties bonding are being privileged in the performance of professionals working in the foster institutions.
