The growing demand for responsible business practices has led the textile sector to incorporate principles of sustainability, technological innovation and transparency into its supply chains. The aim of this dissertation is to identify the motivations and challenges associated with adopting sustainability in the sector, while also analyzing the role of certifications, emerging technologies and collaboration between agents in the chain. The research followed a qualitative approach, based on three questionnaires applied to companies from different segments of the supply chain. The results indicate that the adoption of sustainable practices is motivated above all by external pressures, and that the valorization of materials, sustainable processes and certifications cuts across companies. Technologies are recognized as facilitating sustainability, although with different levels of adoption. Barriers such as lack of knowledge, financial limitations and lack of institutional support were also identified. Collaboration between the links in the chain emerges as an element that promotes sustainability, reinforcing the importance of more integrated and transparent relationships. This study contributes to the understanding of sustainable dynamics in the textile sector and supports the definition of strategies aimed at more resilient and responsible supply chains.
