| dc.description.abstract | A presente dissertação procura verificar se o lobby da energia nuclear influenciou a Taxonomia para Investimentos Sustentáveis, no sentido de saber se a energia nuclear foi inserida neste guia de investimentos sustentáveis devido a atividades de lobby ou não. Para tal, foram explorados os argumentos dos dois lados da questão: pró-nuclear e antinuclear. Aqui, neste ponto, os focos de análise foram vários: desde Estados-Membros a favor e contra, até organizações (não governamentais e empresariais) a favor e contra. De modo a conseguir obter uma resposta à questão inicial, decidimos dividir a estrutura de pensamento em três questões: 1." Qual a razão pela qual a questão da energia nuclear voltou a ser falada?”, 2. “O que é a para que serve a taxonomia?” e “Como se movimentaram os interesses, estaduais e organizacionais, a nível de Lobby, durante todo este processo?”. As repostas às três questões iniciais, e consequentemente, à questão principal desta dissertação, resume-se na existência de uma junção de vários aspetos, tais como: a urgência em resolver o problema das alterações climáticas e da crise energética, a importância da ciência na tomada de decisão política, e, claro está, as movimentações de interesses, no seio da União Europeia. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation seeks to ascertain whether, in fact, the nuclear energy lobby has influenced the Taxonomy for Sustainable Investment. To this end, the arguments on both sides of the issue were explored: pro-nuclear and anti-nuclear. Here, at this point, the focus of analysis was diverse: from Member States for and against, to organisations (nongovernmental and empresarial) for and against. In order to get an answer to the initial question, we decided to divide the framework of thought into three questions: 1." What is the reason for the nuclear issue? Why has the issue of nuclear energy come up again?", 2. "What is the taxonomy and what is it for?" and "How did the respective interests move towards the inclusion of nuclear energy in the Delegated Act (and consequently in the Taxonomy document)?". The answers to the three initial questions, and consequently to the main question of this dissertation, can be summarized as a combination of various aspects, such as: the urgency of solving the problem of climate change and the energy crisis, the importance of science in political decision-making and, of course, the movement of interests within the European Union. | eng |
