Abstract(s)
Nas sociedades mediatizadas, a web 2.0 veio permitir a emergência de novos padrões de comunicação e participação política. A internet permitiu a deslocação dos media para o panorama digital, e desta forma ultrapassou os limites característicos dos meios tradicionais, criando novos públicos, novos conteúdos, novas formas de participação e abriu novas perspectivas sobre o debate democrático. Este estudo pretende perceber como é que as comunidades online dos media noticiosos em Portugal comentam os temas políticos. Para tal, o estudo debruça-se sobre os comentários à Taxa Social Única (TSU) com o intuito de averiguar de que forma é que o tema é comentado, que fluxos comunicativos se geram entre os participantes e se essa participação respeita os princípios do debate democrático. A análise dos Termos e Condições de participação e dos comentários das comunidades online do Diário de Notícias, Expresso, TSF e SIC permitiram aferir que os utilizadores destas plataformas não se manifestam de acordo com os padrões democráticos, sendo a maioria dos comentários e debates pouco argumentados e pouco tolerantes.
In mediated societies, Web 2.0 has enabled the emergence of new patterns of communication and political participation. The internet has enabled the shift of media to digital platforms, and thus exceeded the limits of traditional media, creating new audiences, new content, new forms of participation and new perspectives on the democratic debate. This study aims to understand how communities of online news media in Portugal commented political issues. In this regard, the study focuses on the comments to the Single Social Tax (TSU) in order to determine how it is that the subject is discussed, that communicative flows are generated between the participants and whether such participation shall respect the principles of the debate democratic. The analysis of the Terms and Conditions of participation and comments from online communities of the Daily News, Express, TSF and SIC allowed to understand that the users of these platforms do not manifest themselves according to democratic standards, the majority of comments and debates are not argued or tolerant.
