Resumo(s)
O objetivo do Sínodo é envolver todos os católicos. Garantir que os jovens
façam parte do processo é essencial.
The goal of the Synod is to engage all people. Ensuring that young people are a part of the process is essential. For many young people this experience can be a catalyst of conversion through the witness of the People of God. The members of the Church not always take the approach of Jesus. The communication with children, adolescents and young adults must be tailored to their developmental stage and their cultural reality. Physical participation not always demonstrates full engagement, and intellectual capability does not guarantee the existence of shared means or experience between children/adolescents and adults. Young people will come into this process with expectations of responsiveness. Accepting that, and the fact that many young people have been asked to enter similar processes before, but witnessed a lack of responsiveness from Church, is a pathway to understanding the inter-generational division. The relationship between the Synod and young people must include a process in which young people can help create short- and long-term transformations, regardless of whether we believe they are capable of participating.
