Abstract(s)
The Church as Body of Christ (1Cor 12) is a Pauline characteristic, that shows the unity of the christians in Christ. This biblical and ecclesiological study pretends to show, from the context of Corinth, how Paul intends to build the present community. Straight through the difficulties, but also through those of their collaborators, Paul keeps building the local church. At the same time, this dissertation shows how we can see, out of the Body of Christ, the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the image of the Church in its unity and in its diversity. To this goal, the II Vatican Council was fundamental, as well as all the reflections resulting of it. A big innovation was the fact that lay people were active and present throughout the celebration of the Council. The Council has shown how important their gifts are in order to be oriented to the community growth. Therefore, this report, with support of Lumen Gentium, looks to highlight the mystery of the Church in our time and, at the same time, to relate the ministerial dimension with the importance and the involvement of the lay people.
